Flowbars 002

Elizabeth South Primary School

Flowbars are interactive, free-flowing sculptural works that exist at the intersection of arts, science and play.

Originally created as three-dimensional line drawings, and now realized as functional play equipment. These sculptures reimagine play structures as teaching tools that enhance creativity, physical literacy and cognitive abilities.

Identifying traditional playgrounds as underutilized parts of the pedagogical framework. The flowbars provide a philosophy that aligns play equipment with modern educational approaches to body autonomy, spatial awareness and creative problem solving.

At the heart of these structures is a desire for the expansion of young minds, and an increase in well-being and connection amongst communities.
